EV Packaging
Meetings: Thursdays @ 6:30 PM
EV packaging encompasses a lot of projects starting from chassis to accumulator. All of these projects have to do with the structural design and integrity of the car. While working on this team you will learn how to CAD and run FEAs as well as learn electrical components work. You will be working with plenty of other teams and also getting hands on in the manufacturing process.

EV Packaging Lead
"This team has been the perfect opportunity for me to explore my passion for motorsport engineering and has let me find a niche at UTD that I deeply care about. This team has let me teach other passionate individuals about topics I care about, which is something I'm very grateful for. I hope I can continue this process of learning and teaching for future members to continue to benefit from."

SKILLS

New members can expect to gain practical experience with with load analysis, manufacturing principles, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and proper CAD techniques.

NEW MEMBERS

New members can expect to learn how the car is manufactured and how the different components are made. They can learn how to design jigs and fixtures for welding and machining, what the different machines are used for, and how to design parts and engineering drawings for specific machines. New members also can learn how to weld and, by becoming a machine shop student worker, they can learn directly from professional machinists and can use more advanced machines.
