EV Electrical

The EV electrical team is split up into two sections: High voltage and low voltage. The High voltage side comprises the Inverter, Motor, HVD, and more, but requires a great deal of safety consideration. The Low-voltage side comprises the wire harness, PCBs, sensors, coding, etc. This side is where most of the in-house engineering takes place and can be applied to many different industries.

Projects

Low Voltage
PCB Design, Embedded Systems, PID Control

Control center is shared with the BMS and the Inverter. This Harness controls how many amps are discharge into the motor awhile also having safety critical parts such as the E-stop, interia, APPS, BPDS, Interlocks and etc to stop the motor for safety reason.

High Voltage
Wiring Harness, Battery Pack Wiring, Power Systems

This Harness uses 50 mm^2 shield cable to send power from the In house made Battery pack to the Inverter and ultimately to the Motor. This system is rated to go up to 200 A while also minimizing the amount of EMC coming out from the cables.

Accumulator Box

This whole container is essentially the battery box of the whole car. It houses the battery segments, Battery management systems, AIRS, Pre-charge etc… and components within.

New Members

Basic knowledge/classes (e.g. EE1202) is preferred.
